Abe & Jake's Landing - About Us
Abe & Jake's Landing is one of the premier live music venues in the Midwest. Restored and remodeled in beautiful downtown Lawrence overlooking the Kansas River, the Landing includes an art gallery, coffee shop, candy shop and old-fashioned soda fountain. Abe & Jake’s Landing also offers a stage, dance floor, full bar, small pond, fountain, several pool tables and dart boards scattered around the many tiers inside. Aside from live music, Abe & Jake's throws a big party every Friday night with great drinks specials and a top 40 DJ.

by Analynn L. on I went here on a Sunday Night to see Rebel Souljahz and Katchafire-The house was Jam packed! Drinks were pretty much the average $10 + for specialty drinks, bathrooms were actually DECENT considering all the people there that night. I like how the have the smoke out area is in the back, with lots of room..the lounging areas at the top.. very sleek and comfy- overall Mezzanine was AWESOME EXCEPT... the door lady that looks like whats her face the old VJ lady from Mtv- Kennedy.. I think.. well ya, her.. The door lady that looks like Kennedy lemme give you a tip. Don't be soo quick to HATE on people, As soon as it was my turn to show her my ID she gave me the milittary FBI secret Squirel treatment.. bitch mode-I told her I had only 1 ticket listed under my name for will call, She pretty much didn't care what I had to say and told me that on the list I have 3 tickets.. So I checked my confirmation to make sure I was only charged for 1.. which i wastrying to explain to her but to make a long story short.. This chicky didn't wanna hear anything I had to say & gave me 2 free extra tickets! IDIOT!! I WAS trying to be honest and explain I only ordered one.. but anyways.. oh hells HER BAD NOT MINE. over all Mezzanine ROCKS... Kennedy lady door girl look a like.. doesn't.

I went with a friend who adores this place, she's a professional singer and belted out a few tunes with the piano player, who seems to have every melody committed to memory. I don't like drinking, but I liked drinking at this bar.
