by Wesley J. on I have avoided DNA for years because it always seems like there is a line of B&T'ers waiting to get in. But last night, I was talked into going. And I am very happy I did. I had a great time! There was a good mix of girls and guys and everyone was fairly nice. The bartenders were cool as well. Not sure if I liked all the sets, but there was some good mash up's. Overall, a very good experience.
by Tiny Gitzen on Another club I went to once and didn't enjoy too much, but have since been back Friday after Friday night because of Friction and Visionshock entertainment groups. Gotta help my girl out with her guestlist :) Inside there are bars everywhere so it's pretty easy to get drinks the first half of the night, until it gets packed. The dance floor is pretty big, one of the biggest among all the clubs I've been to. I was thrilled just at the thought of not having to involuntarily be rubbed up against some gross sweaty guys trying to get laid. Or attempting to dance. But anyway. The bartenders are friendly, and the music was really good. There's a smoking patio on the side that gives you an amazing view of Hollywood Blvd. Upstairs used to be a whole VIP lounge, but they're remodeling it so only the outdoor portion is available. People eat dinner here, I have no idea how the food is, but needless to say you can't get up there until those people have finished eating and the tables are moved away. This club gets bonus points because it's one of the few that closes at 3am, instead of 2.
