by Hank S. on Rain has been open for 8 months and one of the best hidden Asian fusion places in town. I stopped in Monday night about 8:30 after the dinner crowd. I was greeted and seated at the bar and the owner introduced herself. Too bad such a well done place is not more busy. Everything about the dinner surpassed my expectations. I love Thia food and this place has a bangin menu. They have full sushi bar and chef on staff. I had the coconut soup 1st. (the best I have ever had) Spicy basil (white boy safe dish) chicken and the ginger salad. Fresh is how I like to describe the taste, very well done, my dish looked great too... orchid flower included. Similar presentation to tamarind seed, but the food at Rain blows it away. After dinner I was given some watermelon slices cut into heart shapes and some decaf. I think she liked me :) I wasn't charged for the coffee, fruit or the salad. wait time was a bit longer than I wanted but then again I was still in work mode, I will be back maybe a regular place for me. Next time I will try the sushi. A+ Total bill $15.00 ??? no beer or wine this time!! Soup Salad Dish Fruit Coffee Modern, hip colors and lounge music From the outside you would never know how cool this place is. WOW!!
by Bobby Reddinger on My friend Amanda had a private Bday here which was so fun! This was one of the best nights at a club in SF I have had in awhile. They have photobooth there, which was the highlight of the evening- getting crazy with the Samantha undercover!! Not sure where the photos and video footage ends up here??? A great place for a private party.
