by Wes F. on This place is pretty cool. Dark and goth decor that includes some interesting paintings (of harlots, of course). The bartenders seem to be pretty big on themselves but the clientele that I have met there are pretty cool. The DJ's spin pretty good music. And, they have free drink offers every once in a while and sometimes even a full open bar (if you RSVP in advance). Once we were there on a night that they were giving away free lemondrops in any form: as a shot, on the rocks, or straight up. Messy night. Another time, a blond raver chick was dancing provocatively by herself. People were just standing there and gawking, but she was hopped up on goofballs and kind of stumbling around. That was weird... It's well worth a visit (on the right night), but I wouldn't wait more than 5 minutes to get in.
by Danica Bialecki on This is a great feel good warm bar. It's not a restaurant, but their ethiopian food is AMAZING COMFORT FOOD. So don't expect the bar tender to be a super attentive waitress. The place is lit with these warm red lights and there are some pool tables in the back. i stick to the front of the bar where its dimmer and cozier. and in the background is always a good basketball game - but its not a sports bar. Not too quiet....not too loud. What a great bar is to me....
