I had Ethiopian for the first time at Waziema, and I liked it a lot. I've heard that Waziema isn't great in comparison to other Ethiopian places, but regardless, I thought waziema was pretty good. I had the veggie combo plate, and while I personally didn't like the corn mush, or the potato stew the mushrooms were really good, as were the mixed greens. My friend ordered the chicken dish, and it lacked flavor of any kind. I heard Ethiopian was supposed to be spicy, and if that's the case, perhaps Waziema isn't authentic, because while the mushrooms and the greens were incredibly flavorful, nothing I ordered had a lot spice to it. The staff are pretty laid back...maybe a little too laid back. The second time I went there was just one lady waiting tables while also working the bar at the same time, so we did have to wait quite a bit to put our order in, and to be served, and then again to receive our bill. I think it's worth the wait, because it's a unique place and the wall paper is definitely eye catching!

Hotspot right off of Boylston on Exeter Street, sort of a lounge/club place. Definitely make sure you dress the part - guys are wearing everything from jeans and a button-down to suits, while girls are all wearing cute tanks and jeans/minis. Can be hard to get in on the weekends if you go after 11:30. I recommend Friday nights. I'm a fan of the dance tunes (old school Mariah plus top 40).
