by Diego E. on According to their website, they are rated as the 4th Best Nightclub in the WORLD. ...HAHAHA! Wha? NO. WAY. I mean, maybe if you only consider... no... definitely not. Don't be fooled by their website. First things first: in order to get in, you HAVE TO pass the test: are you TOOL - err, I mean - COOL enough to hang? I feel bad for all the people who choose to wait in line and be subjected to that kind of ridicule just to drink and dance with friends (although, I'm pretty sure most of these people probably don't have any and came here to meet people). But of course, it's Hollywood and people want to be part of the scene. Knowing this, we struck a deal with a greasy a promoter before even thinking about stepping in: have all your cute girlfriends show some skin and you're all in. Girls were free, guys were $20 each, and we got a table. Oh wait - just the girls. The promoters thought the three guys were cramping their style. We didn't really care - it sucked that the bday girl was stuck with the promoter, but it was her choice and we came to party. If only we could. Drinks averaged around $11. Not bad, although I've had better tasting for $5 or 7. Good thing we had decided to pre-party. The DJ... oh lord, the DJ. Did he just bust out his iPod and hit SHUFFLE? For $20, I at least want an adequate DJ who can skillfully weave songs together. It was HORRIBLE. Maybe he was drunk already; it was 11pm when we got there. It was an older crowd (30's)
by Nikki J. on I celebrated my 30th birthday at Feel Karoake...I absolutely loved it. Wally our host was great. He was very helpful and he wasn't out to scam me out of more money. The bottle service is reasonable. The food was yummy too. I just wish there were up to date hip hop/r &b songs. I also would have liked if they had books with just English songs. Hopefully the owner won't increase the prices because of the economic downturn. The room was very nice...I rented the largest private karoake room. All my guests were impressed with the facility. It was a breath of fresh air to have my party there instead of at an overcrowded club. All my guests had a great time. Overall, I had a blast and I would definitely recommend this place.
by Kim Jones on I have been to this club several times and the comedy is hilarious and the club atmosphere is very comfortable and enjoyable. Good speciality drinks, but food is just average. Despite the good entertainment I was horrified at the bar managements actions. Not only did this person choke and kick out several patrons, but then proceeded to kick out another group that asked for water in what seemed to be just pure anger. When I called to complain about what I saw I was treated rudely and not allowed to talk to any body about the situation. Hopefully your trip will turn out better than my LAST one.
by raquel t. on Usually and expensive cover to get in. Big main dance area....although I wish they would turn the lights down more. I have generally had more fun in the tiny side room..... Always good music though and it's nice when they've had buses and music outside in the smoking area too!
by Alyssa C. on Ok, so I know Jillians from Boston fame, and I guess I should have know what I was getting into. An upscale sports bar just ain't my thing. Food pricey and just not good (although I give much credit to a few french fries I stole from Nish's plate..) I imagine that on a Friday night when the dining area turns into a dance floor there is lots of white baseball caps, and lots of skin showing, with a bad mix of music.
