by Mitchell Laverne on This place has weak drinks and tons of douchebaggery going on. If I'm going to put up with douchebaggery, I need some strong drinks. I was here for a friends birthday a few months ago, and I can't say I'd return. My husband was driving, so I didn't have to worry about my anxiety with driving in the busy parts of SF. We found parking a few blocks away. This place didn't really have a good area for hanging out in a group, so i don't think it was the best choice for a birthday gathering. The decor is terrible. Too many cheap tiki-style masks. This bar is called Vertigo. It would be much cooler to decorate it with swirly murals that make everyone feel dizzy. I know my drink wasn't accomplishing anything. Maybe the decor could. This place would have been great with a small group of friends, and a hidden flask of something in my purse, right next to my special douchebag repellent.

I came here a few weeks ago because my friends wanted to go dancing somewhere. The crowd the night I was there wast strictly bridge and tunnel. Folks from NJ and LI coming in to party on a Friday night or whatever. The music was WAY TOO LOUD... and can't say much about the atmosphere. Maybe it was an off night.... or maybe I'm just too old for clubs. That night the bouncers had to carry out/kick out two or three girls because they were so drunk and couldn't walk, All I know is NEVER AGAIN. NEVER!!!
