Every time I've been to Boulevard 3 Ive had a great time. No problem getting in, hardly any waiting, great dance floor, outdoor smoking patio and bar, nice staff, cool events, etc. Ive been to a Loyola mixer here and a few other cool events. They do have a $20 cover for everyone except those getting bottle service I assume. I really hate paying cover charges and waiting in lines but I think that sometimes it can be o.k. I recently brought 2 german-exchange-student friends of mine here because they requested we take them to a 'typical LA nightclub.' We had been waiting line for about 5 minutes behind some fugly/non-fun people when I approached the bouncer in charge and made shit happen. Next thing you know we're in there like swimwear. Thats $80 later however. These people are making money hand over foot. I met the bouncer and the manager later in the evening and they were both so nice and I hope they remember me in the future! The dancing was super fun but I have to agree with one of the previous reviews by saying that the music is totally over-mixed. We would like to hear more than 45 seconds of any given song. Thanks. The the 'go-go' dancers this last time were both male and female. Every other time Ive been here its only been female dancers. These guys werent go go dancers they were like breakdancing, krumping, getting hyphy. Whatever they were doing, it was intense. Im all for gender equality in the dance showcase at Blvd. 3 but I was slightly put off by this like macho krump-off between guys that looked like Lil Wayne impersonators. There was also a suuuuupppper cute white guy who participated in the show the night I visited. I noticed him when he arrived on his motorcycle and was surprised to see him on stage later. He was totes cute! The bottom line is the girls dancing was like sexy and right for the mood and I felt the guys dancing was not the right vibe. Because Blvd. 3 is relatively accessible to the general public (have patience and $20 and your in!) the clientele varies widely in their level of attractiveness, social normalcy, appropriateness, desirability, behavior etc. You will definitely run in to some characters. This club is not exclusive at all really, so there is a wiiiiiideee spectrum of people represented here.

A classy, hip dinner & drinks spot in Dorchester. Friendly to alt. lifestyles. The drinks are top notch: inventive, strong, generously-portioned, and well-crafted. The dancing was pretty dead on a Saturday night. They don't have a dance floor so much as a space between tables where people have been known to dance, from time to time.
