by Kevin M. on I used to know the bartender here, so I went here a few times for the free drinks. Good time, but this place is a very different experience depending on what night you go. We went on a Friday and the place was packed and lots of dancing on the stripper poles. Big mix of people, lots of hipsters though. This place is a gay bar that became a straight bar. It's still alphabet city, so the gays come. Drinks are about $5, pretty reasonable. Saturday nights, big difference! We got here around 11 and this place was dead, like just us and the bartenders. We stayed for one drink and left. Cool seating area. Good place if you're looking to get really drunk or are already drunk.
by Thanh Bernardon on I used to come here all the time when Eklectic was here and also go to 1984 on occasion. Both were/all always fun. Boo hoo for Eklectic leaving though. It was a great place to listen to drum and bass and the vibe was pure. Stick to beer, the watered down drinks suck. The dancefloor substantial enough to get your groove on but can get a little chaotic on Thursday nights. Apparantly I used to go when there were less college chicks. I happen to like college chicks so I should go here more often on Thursdays. I need to change that. Come here, it's always a good time for me.
