I've alway been underwhelmed when I go to MJQ. Maybe it's because some of my friends over the years rave about it and love it to death...it can't live up to the hyping that a lot of people give it. Yes, it feels underground and secretive when you're going there. But an underground club has been around for a decade and anyone and everyone knows about it, it's no longer underground (it's just hard to find if you haven't been before). Lastly, for a dance club the times I've been the DJ'ing has been sub-par. I mean, noticeable pauses between songs while the DJ is cuing up the next track kind of bad. You just can't have amateurish DJ'ing at a place that is built around dancing and music.
