Decided to go to La Vida last saturday night for the club and was not impressed. First of all, the decor is nice, which was the only reason they get two stars. The drinks are pretty expensive, as are all clubs. I paid $38 for two shots of jack and one belvedere. The DJ in the front room was legit and spun pretty good music during the little time I was there but the girl DJ in the back is a total fraud! First of all, she had a laptop in front of her which I dont even think was even on and there werent any turntables. Now i know DJ's play music with laptops in combination with records, but this girl never touched her computer and was straight up posing. It's pretty wack when you go to a club and they play a pre-recorded cd and try to fool you with a fake dj. Maybe if they get some quality music here i'll come back, but until then, there are way better places to go for, musically.

the crowd's ethnicity fluctuates wildly, it's always mostly ONE race depending on the day of the week drinks are decently priced and the music is actually alright, cover's high but you should expect that much great decor, the girls dancing up on the bar usually help with that solid pick for the neighborhood, go to royal oak to escape the noise
