A promoter from here found myself and my group of girlfriends at the Hotel Gansevoor bar. The experience was great because he invited us over, and walked us right through the line and to a table. We had a lot of fun, I saw John Stamos, danced and drank the night away, and didn't spend a dime. I'm used to VIP treatment in Vegas, or LA...but I thought in NYC it would be harder to come by. The whole night was really fun. Taking off one star, because the night we were here (Sunday Nov. 1st) not sure if this is how it always is.... the DJ kind of sucked. Each song played for maybe thirty seconds, once you were excited about it.... it was on to the next. By the end of the night it also got a bit crowded....but all in all, it was a great NYC club experience! So glad we went, will recommend it to others :)

i will try my best to remember my experience here on friday night. i actually came here on a party bus for my roomie's birthday, so i didn't have to search for parking. we all got a free shot inside, kamikazes -_- the bartender however, was hella quick and happily added more vodka for us and the shot was actually delicious now that i think about it. then i bought a round of shots. 4 LC's... $40. HUH? $10 for an LC????? eghwaeghowejhgwerjgharwj. anywhos. the dance floor gets kind of packed, and the DJ played some lame ass songs [seriously. "get low" was played out hella years ago]. but he redeemed himself by playing a few old school jams. oh and beware that little incline from the back area of the dance floor to the bar, because ladies.. you will slip. and fall. like my room mate did. hahahaha

Considering the lack of bowling options in Manhattan, Bowlmor suffices. They have the option for gutter bumpers, so that was helpful for the young one in our group (as much as I try to convince him to move past his 'bumper' phase...). The downside of the bumpers here is that once they are up, they stay up through everyone's game. At Chelsea piers they program it so the bumpers deploy only for those who need it when their it's their turn to bowl. I thought I made an expensive mistake after I ordered, but the burger came and it was big and very nicely cooked. Fries were tasty too. We also had the hummus plate with artichoke salad, not bad either. If you're on a budget just save the eating for elsewhere. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there were plenty of lanes, and service was great. Nice to watch all the day's football and baseball games on the big screens above the lanes. Chelsea Lanes may be slightly cheaper, but only slightly. Fun to read all the celebrity-autographed pins displayed behind the lanes, from Gretzky to Lewinsky (I'll spare you any jokes...)
