by Jim H. on I haven't been here for almost half a decade and when I came one random day cuz my friend claim there is a good DJ here, I realize that Kelly's Mission Rock's crowd is getting too young for me. I used to like the view of mission bay, but its not worth it anymore to come to the middle of nowhere just to look at young kids grinding at each other. And the music is mostly just heavy bass thumping around. Despite the memories of younger days, I doubt I would be coming back ever again, at least the bartenders are still friendly.
by Scott Ingersol on gentleman make sure you wear a jacket when stepping into this shrine of decadance. though far from cheap, this cozy yet posh watering hole is a wonderful spot to take that midtown edge off. snack on wasabi peas while pondering the notorious maxfield parrish mural behind the bar. stay away from this place early in the week unless you wanna be propositioned by hookers.
