Nice idea here. A bit crowded on the event I attended, but it is to be expected for a venue opening of this quality. Upstairs and downstairs levels are alluring. The layout of the staircase / bathrooms led to a bit of bottle-necking in front of the bar and along the wall, given the level of patronage, but hopefully this will subside somewhat as the spot settles in to the SF nightlife scene. Positives are great DJ's and nice bouncers, good service and neat smoking room (clearly a homage to the Rye "smoking cage", but in this case executed better with clear walls inside). The service in particular was astounding given the crowded and boisterous crowd -- no lip from the bouncer, attentive bartneders, and very friendly (and attractively corseted) waitresses. While it currently has the "ultra-lounge" feel of a Mr. Smiths, Dolce, etc., albeit with a much improved decor and layout, I hope it will settle down some and become a bit more of an intimate lounge in the near future. If you're into the crowded/dancing scene, this is a great spot right now. Personally, I look forward to the more relaxed atmosphere that may loom in the future after the initial buzz, at which point this will be one of the top-tier in SF.

O ladies, poor ladies! You have all had such an awful time here, I am sorry to hear it. When the gay boys take over this place it is transformed with fun lightening, good music and no one ugly to hit on you. Fresh is a great party one Sunday a month.
