by brad k. on I was a big fan of Ecco... until our last meal there. Now I'm a reluctant, doubting fan. I've heard other downhill stories from other folks, and I hope they can bounce back to form. The fried goat cheese with honey and pepper is still one of the best things you can put in your mouth anywhere, and the gorgonzola and burnt honey ice cream is a brilliant pairing (though there weren't enough chunks of gorgonzola last time we were there). I love the cheese and salumi selections, and the eclectic wine list as well. Here's hoping Ecco can swing back up to a consistent four star.
by Mercedes Dembo on I had dinner at Tangerine thurday night with work people. I hate to give a average review but I must. I was up and down from the table because I was closing on a house and we were in tight negotiations. So I was able to get a close look at the wall of candles.....they all stayed lit, despite my best efforts. We had some sort of appetizer sampler. A number of different entrees. The one that stood out was the pistacio encrusted duck breast. Good God! It was the bomb. I would love to tell you more but we just got out bid.
