by Alena D. on Bootie!! It seems a lot of reviews mention Hearthrob, which is amazing, or Soul Touch, equally good. So I thought I would mention Bootie. Once a month on Tuesday, the middlesex hosts Bootie a mash-up night with dj's mixing nostalgia and "the new" together! This is a blast. Great mixes. You're left dancing like mad or lost in space trying to figure out from what song that bassline was ripped from. A little less crowded than other nights at the middlesex (ex. Hearthrob), but I would still find my way a little earlier in case it starts becoming more popular. I haven't seen the SoSoLimited boys on the schedule recently, but I would highly recommend going to any show that they produce. Sweet guys that play amazing music with trippy visuals. I've never eaten or stayed at the middle sex through daylight hours, but they have some of the most fun weeknights in the area. As with all indie kid patronized venues, same rules apply: come early, dress snazzy, and don't let the hipsters wear you down.
