by Mike V. on The BANDS get a five (local, progressive, energetic). The PATRONS get a five (cute, semi-trendy, polite, fun). The location (except for PARKING which can be difficult) is convenient and there is plenty of good late night food around. The BATHROOMS are what you'd expect for a basement bar, but the DRINKS are inconsistent at best. Your first mixed drink might taste like tonic and tonic, and your next like a double shot of vodka on ice. Stick with shots and beer and you won't surprise yourself too much. I used to tell people to get there early for a seat, but if you are anything below 6 feet, you have to be no more than 6 people back from the stage to see the lead singer. My advise, grab a chair and bring a cute date, when your band comes on, hopefully she'll be more than happy to "escort" you toward the front, and as always, we men are more than happy to let adorable women go to the front (unless of course you've played in the WNBA or an Olympic volleyball team, we have to draw the line somewhere)
