I e-mailed reservations and very easily secured a table with bottle service. The final guest list didn't have to be sent in until the afternoon of my event, and I was very thankful for the extra time to let guests confirm. On top of that, whenever I sent an e-mail, I was sure to get some sort of reply very soon afterwards. The night of my event went very smoothly. While we did have to wait in line, it was only for five or ten minutes. We were checked off the list very quickly and guided to our spacious balcony area. Our server was very kind, though I wish she was around more often. She did bring us tacos, though I never got to try them. The music was good and the dance floor wasn't overcrowded, but had a good group of people all night. There is a stage with dancers, but I didn't find this incongruous with the setting at all. I had a great time and definitely recommend the bottle service. One glitch: only two bathrooms were to be found by our area and each one boasted a line throughout the night.

Four bars. Refreshing deck. Grab a drink at the bar, make your way around the dance floor, and cool off from the excitement on the tropical deck, where you can enjoy the fresh air and an impressive midtown view. Return to the main level and relax in plush velvet seats by the fireplace. With this setup, Lava is perpetually hot.
