by Mirchey A. on I browsed through some of the other reviews for Kress and I'm not sure if I just went on an off night or what. First of all there was no line. We arrived around midnight. Had no problems getting in. No cover because we knew a promoter. The staff at the doors were nice. Once inside, it was all downhill. Three floors playing different music. The floor that was supposed to be playing hip hop was playing some hard core rap. Stuff that I wouldn't know how to dance to. The floors were sticky. I literally had to take extra effort to lift my foot off the ground with each step. For some reason, the people were sticky as well! I swear! My arms were bear and whenever someone would accidentally rub up on me it was STICKY. Trust me, it wasn't me. Something about that place. It was so humid. Moving on....the roof. The roof was beautiful. This is the only redeeming part of this night club. With windows all around you get a beautiful view of the city. But still, I have no idea what the heck kind of music was being played and it was completely empty up there. It would have certainly helped to have heaters!! I mean, the roof is closed but for some reason it was freezing. Anyhow, I'm not going back there. From what I hear, Kress is not what it used to be when it opened several months ago. That's pretty sad that it went downhill so fast.
by EZ RYDER on Definitely go to watch a Gator game. Beer is ice cold, service is good, people are nice. It's easy to find. Bring cash, they don't take plastic.
by Bethann Fortino on Very nice atmosphere and easy to miss if you're not in the know. Drinks are pricey, but then so are the pple that show up here. Definitely a slightly older crowd of lawyers, business pple, etc. that are shmoozing.
