Edison is definitely one of the classiest places anyone could find around LA & I can honestly say that this is one of my favorite lounges! I love the Edison! The entrance is hidden away in an alley on 2nd street so you really need to open your eyes if you are heading there for the first time. Valet is available right on 2nd street, so it won't be too hard to find this place. I personally like to park on the lots right next to the lounge so I don't wait in line to get the car after some lounging; it's cheaper too! Also, if you don't want to pay for cover & wait in insanely long line, get there early! Dress-code is also enforced so guys, especially, will have to wear dress shoes in order to get in. Once you enter & walk down beautiful stairs, you will reach the basement. I absolutely love the atmosphere of this lounge from the way staffs are dressed in 1920-1930's fashions (skirts, suspenders, hats, and jackets) which makes you feel like you are in an old film to the black and white movies projected on the brick walls & the boiler room with amazing furniture and 'edison' bulbs. The crowd here are more well-behaved because I haven't seen any rowdy people here, probably because everyone is dressed up to begin with. It's a great place for young professionals in their twenties & up and perfect place for small to medium size groups. Mixed drinks are delicious here with so many interesting drinks to choose from. I also love the "fairy" who walks around with a cart full of absinthe! They are tasty & I just love the theme of drinking out of a small potion-like bottles! You can order the absinthe from the bar where they melt sugar & literally drip the alcohol to make a small shot. Overall, originality is seen everywhere. Even the food is tasty! My favorites are the mac & cheese and fries combo! Occasionally they have live entertainment such as live jazz or burlesque dancing. I also saw them doing a cirque-de-solieil-esque performances from the ceiling which is breathtaking. You can also reserve a table for special event or pay the table minimum (small table was ~$25) to sit down. Otherwise, just walk around, enjoy the swanky decor, watch performances, and drink away!

Since I've been in ATL, I've heard a zillion commercials for this place on the radio. I went with some friends on Thanksgiving night. I think the Orlando Magic was hosting. My review may be biased because I arrived there with a few drinks in me :) Parking kinda sucks they have their own lot which was $20.... The lots around the area were $10..... Not bad for mid-town if you split the parking cost with your group. I printed passes (I hate the standard ATL $20 club cover) to get in free before 11:30 for me and a bunch of my friends. We got there kinda late and the line was around the door.. The line guy said not to worry, he'd make sure we'd get in with the passes even if it was a little after 11:30pm.. I'm convinced that some of these clubs hold their line to force you to pay $20... The line guy said that if we each paid $20 (we were a group of 6) that we could cut the line and go right in. I was against it because it took me like and hour to find the right place to print the passes and I'm not made of money and rather spend $20 on drinks inside. It was kinda disappointing that the coat check was $4!! It was too cold out to not wear some type of jacket. I'm from NY and have gone to lots of clubs in NYC and coat check is usually $1 or $2. So that was $4 out of my drink budget :( Inside is nice. When you walk in there's a backdrop with the clubs logo and the photographer takes "red carpet style" pics. I believe the club has 4 levels. The top levels over look the main floor and are VIP. Overall it was a good time, good mix of music, nice crowd. No "thugs in the club". It was a good time, but I also went with GOOD company!

I love this place! The music is really good, always some random salsa or merengue in the lower level, and dry humping bass on the top floor. Love the openness of the place and eye candy is divine, too bad they all like fishsticks.
