by Felisa S. on What happened to this place? It's near CSULA and Main Street desperately needed a good Mexican food place. I had lunch here 2 years ago and it was this nice Mexican restaurant. It has a great vibe with the "authentic" decorations and dark woods. Had excellent menu choices with great taste where you remembered your grandma cooking for you. I went there a couple of Months ago (January) and now it's a "Mexican" Sports Bar? I guess they changed owners or something but this place is not MEXICAN. The menu has very few items. Their Michelada didn't taste good. The Decor is horrible. A Taco Truck has more menu choices! I also remember them advertising on Craigslist for "Hooter" type girls to serve and bartend. Even though our server wasn't really "Hooter-y" she was really nice and attentive. She gets 2 stars. This place sucks now. Bring back the O.G. FRONTRERAS!
by Israel Melena on Love this place at night AND during the day. I can't say that about many places. Outdoor patio, indoor bar, the occasional band, good crowd. Make your own Bloody Mary during weekend brunch. It's worth the visit in and of itself.
