Great for a classy dinner inside, or watching a game on the patio outside, XIV has a lot to offer. The food is top quality, five stars all around. The service is also good, but I'm not quite sure it's worth every penny you'll spend... and it will be plenty-a-penny. If you go for happy hour, you'll get more than your money's worth. Inside the dining room, you feel like... Louis XIV! Big comfy chairs with huge arms are available, as well as luxurious booths. It is a little loud, with contemporary and house music playing throughout the patio and dining room. It can be romantic, but on some nights it can be just loud. The wine selection is impressive, the cocktail menu not so much... they make the cocktails sound a lot better than they are, but if you're looking for scotch on the rocks or a top shelf Pinot, you're in the right place.

I've been going to alameda strip for about ten years now, is cool little bikini bar there's no cover charge, and most of the girls are hot, food is ok wouldn't go there for the food though, one thing I hate is a fat short waitress that's always bugging to buy a drink and gives you an attitude if u don't tip her so if you go to alameda strip get your own drink at the bar and avoid this bitch! Like me and my buddies say " anything can happen at alameda"

Let me preface this post by saying it's hard for any club to get more than 3 stars because clubs cater to very diverse groups of people with very different expectations in terms of experience. The girls & I go dancing a lot and we definitely liked this club. It's cracking but surprisingly still offers ample space to dance without getting pushed around or stepped on. We went on Saturday and it was a mixed crowd which is always nice. Parking, line to get in, line for the bathroom and line for coat check moved really fast. Not that many creepers (!!!!!yessss!!!!!!) and most importantly, AWESOME music (hip-hop, some throwback stuff) that makes you want to shake it all night. Music at Might is LOUD. You know, the kind of music that is so loud that you can't hear what your friend is saying even though she's screaming right into your ear? Also, be prepared to sweat buckets- gets pretty hot on the dance floor. If you go... head towards the back at the main bar and you'll get your drinks faster. For some reason, people are all clumped toward the front of the bar. Also, check out who's spinning because they have hip-hop and house (which are 2 very different types of music).

San Francisco has been waiting for a club like this. I haven't tried the dinner, but I dropped by after 11 to check out the scene. Styling is on par with the best clubs of NYC or South Beach and the DJs were throwing down killer house tracks. The crowd was mixed, but there was an authentic European-vibe. Update 12/18/05: Dropped in for dinner. The menu is fixed and price is very steep. Our group of 8 ordered 2 bottles of vodka along with our meal and paid $153 *each*. That strikes me as rediculous. Also the "performances" during dinner were really bad.
