by Karen Genovese on This place can't be real One dim, lonely stripper pole Evenings of regret I kind of refuse to believe this place is real. Like who in their right mind opens a bar for a barely a few hours a week in the dead of night? Yeah, it's expensive and yeah you'd do well not to sit on the couches, but if you're on that side of town and not done your drinking at the reasonable hour of 2:00 AM, it's there. There's nothing else to say because if you're going here you're going, and if you're going home, you're a better person than I. I can't in good conscience give this place more than 2 stars because I would never go here without a little liquid motivation.
by Rick S. / Club Treasurer on First of all the Alano Club of Wausau Inc. in not a nightclub. It is a non-profit organization started to help recovering alcoholics and their families. Like all public places in Wisconsin the Club is non-smoking and anybody who has a problem with Alcohol is welcome at the Club. There is a parking lot located down the street and we do have handicap parking and access. We do have lot of activities and fun, but that's not totally what the Club is there for.
by Brianne Ciarlante on Came here to get some drinks one evening, not realizing it was primarily a restaurant- we were seated in the swing chair area, which our waitress told us was for people ordering full meals only. No one had told us that, and she let us stay there. She was nice, and I felt bad we were taking up a table that might get her a better tip. I looked at the drink menu and was shocked at how expensive it all was, but then was delighted to find Laguanitas IPA, one of my favorites, for $5.50- not a deal, but not as outrageous as the 13$ drinks, and I was happy to have it. We got an appetizer (sesame spinach) which was quite tasty. Overall I enjoyed the experience, but it's generally not my style and I probably won't go back. It's nice looking and could be fun if you had the money to spend. Menu looked tasty, and I really liked the design of the place.
by Natalia C. on I went to a Wednesday night comedy show and 1000 crunches couldn't make my tummy hurt more. I laughed so hard I cried. It's current, refreshing and a bit raunchy - a perfect combo. Yes, there was certainly guy that bombed, but there always has to be one. Poor guy.
by Mitchell Jenkins on This "club" is NOT fun at all. I would never return here- no atmosphere, heavy heavy heavy smoking. Everyone stands outside on the sidewalk because you can't breathe (no smoke eaters) No parking area & alot of mentally challanged/released rapists from the half way houses in the area show up! Not a very safe place. There are much better places to go in the area if you want a nice club to attend.
