by Mona s. on Rude is not the word.. Unbelievable... The hostess at this restaurant on a saturday night was so rude, like she owned the world. For a party of 10, we were asking for 2 people to be put on the guest list for temple night club,, and OMG! she goes..don't ask no one around here, I'm the final word and I ain't doing it. The menu changed on us and was not the same as on the website. While making reservations, the person told me, we can order prix fixe or appetizers. I don't know what it would be like on a weekend, but it was great to wander in here after dinner on Wednesday, lounge at a table by the fireplace, and drink a martini. There were smooth beats playing (off a CD, though there were turntables in the corner), the Godfather showing on the widescreen, sports in the corner above the bar, and free chips, salsa, veggies, and dip. Baby carrots, you rock my world. Our waitress was cool and came by just enough to make sure we always had drinks, but not too often to be intrusive. It was ideal. The feel of the place is great, kinda like a mahogany-lined 70s era executive office, with the lights turned down. The stained glass windows were neat too. The menu looked interesting, though we didn't order any food. I was intrigued by the 3.95 burger "happy hour" special, when ordered with a drink, on Wednesdays from 9pm til close.
