Wow, when did Infusion go from a super-douchey, wanna-be NYC lounge with "dress code strictly enforced" signs on the door to an ALL-OUT TRANNY EXTRAVAGANZA? The low-budget traveling carnival haunted house decor finally makes sense, because it just didn't work as a swank lounge, but a garish interior and unisex bathrooms make so much more sense with their new target clientele. I now understand that the meatheads they have working there are just eye candy, and so their asinine behavior and social ineptitude are inconsequential.

Went here last night for the Paul Oakenfold 'intimate' gathering. Gotta tell ya--the roof was coming off the place. They must've put in better speakers for this show because it was bumpin' much more so than before. Seeing a world-renowned spinner in this small a setting was quite awesome. Been here a bunch of times since it opened, and last night was the creme de la creme. Let's hope Slide is able to attract some other top-name DJ's for mid-week roof-rippin', ear-blastin' romps. Granted, the crowd is not nearly as cool as when it first opened (with the exception of last nite), but one thing that impresses me a lot about this place is how easy / quick it is to get a drink when the house is packed. Literally takes less than 20 seconds from the moment you approach the bar. Not bad at all.
