I went to my first show here less than a month ago and what a debacle. This place is the absolute pits. First and foremost, I was there pre-show with pre-bought will call tickets. The line was at least 100 deep and I can say for certain that it took over an hour for the "security" guys to first pat you down then for the ticket lady to find and get your tickets. They have all the tickets organized by FIRST not LAST name which makes no sense and wastes everyone's time. Once inside I was appauled to see that PBR 24 oz cans were selling for $9 a piece and they were the CHEAPEST beer in the place. They do a good job of getting major acts to play here and I'm hoping that the expensive artist fees are what is driving up the costs here. If they could get you in quicker and sell you booze at a decent price even by "club" standards which they are well above I might go back. But until both those issues are resolved I shant be returning no matter who is playing there. Only positive thing about the place is that no one hassles you about smoking inside.

+1 star - atmosphere - - just getting up to the lounge itself adds a load of 'color' to the experience. +1 star - view +1 star - live music +1 star- friendly bar staff +1 star for the bouncer for letting me in free and giving my friend a discount on the cover charge. -1 star - for a weird crowd - ghetto/ mixed with cougars/ mixed with sleezy old men / the whole feeling of the place is a little too 'pick-upy' for me. -1 star for charging a cover i'll go back, but they are not top on my list. Its a nice spot to check out if you are in union square and want to grab a drink.

yeah, the food was GREAT, but i couldnt get past the laughably small portions. i went with 4 other ppl and most dishes couldnt be split into 5 pieces - they were that small. it was like that wendys commercial where the guys pays a ton of money for a tiny bite of steak. its not like i cant appreciate good food - i just know a lot of places where i can get food that i enjoy just as much - with normal adult size portions. if u have the money to pay 10 dollars for two fried balls of lamb - do it - they are fantastic. but im not that into it.
