by Tiesha Lodge on I've had fun every time I've come to Vessel. It's a very classy looking club, bathrooms are always very clean, and the music is usually pretty good. As most people said, it's much more on the house side than hip hop/top 40, but I never listen to house and I still find the music they play pretty danceable. Bad part about Vessel is that there's only one bar and it can be really hard to order drinks. The dance floor is also really small and it gets crowded. Also, even though most clubs are pretty dead earlier in the night, I've found this to be especially true at Vessel.

Words of wisdom uttered not by Confucious but by co-worker Joe before a party at Jillian's. The true test of a place is when you pack it in with close to a 300 party-goers but be able to provide edible food, a venue for fun and music and a decent bar for hard-working company employees. So was there something that stood out at Jillians? Nothing really-- except it was worth noting that our food tasted how they were supposed to taste and was served at the temperature they were supposed to be served at. So cold was cold and warm was served warm. With the generosity of the company even in this tough economic times, I had: a) A glass of nice wine b) Buffalo wings c) Beef satay with peanut sauce c) Skewered chicken d) Calamari e) Eggrolls f) Arugula Salad g) A plateful of chocolate brownies, cakes, cookies and holiday desserts. Other dairy stuff that I couldn't touch but just admired: a) Artichoke dip b) Quiche c) Quesadilla d) Never ending supplies of pizza e) Cheese, hummus and cold cut plates f) Unlimited chips and dips The place was packed and happening with one of my co-workers DJing and bringing the house down with old-school. The place was perfect for hanging out at the bar or moving around to mingle. I looked around and everybody was happy. The servers kept their cool despite the crowd. The coat check was perfect for my wet coat and umbrella. The location at the Metreon is perfect! And I can truly say that all the food tasted yummy! (Most esp the buffalo wings with the skin crispy but moist and juicy inside! YUM!) Every morning that I go to work, I am truly grateful that I still have a great job in this tough economy with wonderful co-workers. And even more grateful that my company generously provided us with one fun night to celebrate the holidays and appreciate its employees. And even allowed me to bring my +1--my BF! I am truly grateful and I can say that Jillian's is OK! (I guess you were wrong this time, Joe the Wise!) (Don't forget to checkout the pool tables if you go!)
by Monique C. on Cool place...we got in free..that's always a plus! Kinda small, although I like the way the bar is set up. I like going out, dancing and having a good time. But sheesh people lighten up on the skanking. Dude, some girls dance so raunch! eeks~ Drinks were ok, we left in like 30 minutes. Would maybe go back.
