by Vernon Hussein on This place was decent. The majority of the stars are for the private corporate event I was at. The space was nice and clean. I liked the cozy feeling of things. The bar is in a slightly awkward spot which creates unnecessary crowding but otherwise good spot. Once it got later and the outside crowd joined the party it got a little less fun. The DJ had a great selection of tunes though - very eclectic which made it fun.
by Sergio Burhans on I came here on New Years Eve with my girls and had a blast! This place is so fun! It was nice to have a change of pace for New Years Eve. I normally just do the relax house party thing for New Years Eve, but this place truly represented. Their salsa band was awesome and the dj rocked big time! It was a fun, mix, diverse crowd, for once in Atlanta! If you like a place that has high energy, great bar service, and music that makes your feet "can not stop dancing" to the rhythm. I believe this is the spot for you! I so did not want to leave that night. Now, if it was left to me..... I would have tried to stay until the lights came on! I have never been to the original Loca Luna, but I heard this one is so much more spacious on (Amsterdam Walk).
by Nissa Z. on Ok, so I was looking for a place to go on a first date and thought "what's more delicious and sensual than dessert"? Ummmm nothing LOL ok well I can think of one thing but not for a first date. So, I was in search of a place that was open Late on a week night that had dessert and coffee and I decided we'll go to Sugar Cafe. I'm glad we did, they have the best Pineapple Mojito I've tried so far. It's a cute little place where you can sit near the fireplace in the front or share dessert at the tables or move to the back to the couches with the bar in between the two rooms and bench seating across from the bar. Whatevah's your pleasure. The only thing was that the music was a little loud and I felt like everyone was on our date with us. We were adjusting the volume of our voice to be heard over the music and when the level of the music dropped we were yelling at each other. I'm a little disappointed though, turns out we never ordered dessert. But all that means is we have to go back YAY!
