My friends and I ended up at SET on Thursday in an effort to meet up with a cutie I met earlier at Sushi Samba. Unfortunately, I couldn't find him but I did meet who appeared to be a VIP behind the bar. An attractive older man told the bartender the drinks were on the house for us all night! Its a small intimate well-decorated space with great upbeat music but sort of a scrappy crowd... Saturday night - pass SET on way to dinner on Lincoln Avenue. Bentlys and limos parked outside, a sizeable crowd outside including groups of females trying to get in. After dinner return to SET with somebody who knows somebody and WOW what a difference. A party unlike anything I've ever seen. The whole place was soooo full of energy!!! Magnum bottles of champage were delivered every few minutes to the tables with sparklers attached and everyone was having such a great time. Thats just the main floor. They have a VIP area upstairs that you can catch a glimpse of through the big glass window overlooking the main floor. Once again my small group of four females and one guy were treated to free drinks at the bar. Between pouring drinks the bartender would get on top of the counter and dance too. SET is the type of place you should visit at least once during the weekend - if just to be entertained by the spectacle that IS South Beach. Five stars for free drinks and a crowd that knows how to party.

I couldn't decide between 2 or 3 stars. I went on a wednesday, and was told that was the night to go. The music was great, the dance floor was empty. If you want to talk to people, bring them. Don't expect to get lost in a crowd while you dance either.
