by Meredith K. on I don't know what it is about this place, but for some reason it brings out the catty in me. Maybe it's the bitchy waitress in a sequin dress, who always had her back to us. It's hard not to notice the bra strap gaudily connecting the two sides of her backless sequined gown, especially when you are waiting a half an hour for your $15 glass of fizzy wine on a lazy Tuesday night. Or maybe it's the plush velvet couches that lull you into a sense of security, until you look down and realize that you sat in gum. I mean, given that usually I hang out in dark and sticky dive bars, I'm used to a bit of grunge when i'm wearing yesterdays jeans, but it's just not cool to have that kind of experience in a place that screams dry clean only. Bottom line, this place is overpriced. It has horrible snotty service. And with the amount of estrogen that pumps through its cavernous interior, it's enough to bring out the hiss in everyone.
by Marketta Lazos on I went to this place last night, and I certainly had a good time. Even though it took a while for the place to fill up, once it did though , the place was a lot of fun. Recommend it to anybody who enjoys house music and techno.
