by Shonda K. on I am gonna cosign on what Marcel said (wink). I enjoyed my meal at Parish. Being that it is Louisiana style cuisine, I was afraid it would be too spicy for me but it was cool on that. If you like fish, they have some good choices. I had the red fish and there was yummy fish on the seafood platter w/scallops. I did not like the savory seafood cheesecake BLAH! Try again. The peach bread pudding dessert was almost too pretty to eat but eat it we did, my dudes seemed to enjoy it. I have to wait on their report on the brunch. Overall nice feel to this place. I had good food, good company and shook my shimmy to the bluesy bayou music floating through the place. Check it out.
by Maye Almen on A Sad Loss.. Medjool used to be *really cool*. Mainly because of the rooftop deck, which made it an ideal place to hang out on a sunny day. The downstairs was reasonably cool but sadly, it has degraded into one of the trashiest destinations in SF. Especially on the weekends it is overflowing with greasy types who seem to be itching for a fight. Over crowded, snotty, heck there's even a bouncer with a velvet rope - a guaranteed sign that a place has fallen out of style...
