MJQ on Wednesday for the last 8 yrs has been the shits for an "underground" venue. Cheap beer (cash only), people that don't care how you dance and most of the time its free on wednesday. The music is great and people do go there to DANCE. Like the Music, People and Drinks!!!

Totally shitty club. No idea how it ever received even decent reviews. A) Location is anything bu mediocre B) Music is below average, just barely tolerable C) The OWNERS are complete RETARDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On New Years Eve around 1 AM I thought I would buy the security guys and L.A. Cops 2 large pizzas so they would not have to stand outside and work hungry. ALl the guys were thankful .... except the owners who said I do not get in again .... and they did not have a single reason why. MOST RETARDED CLUB OWNERS EVER !!!!! DO NEVER GO TO THE PLAYHOUSE ! The Owners will screw over your night !!!!

The interior is ultra-modern and very cool. I like how the colors of the lights constantly change adding a new dimension to the experience. I went with 3 friends while we were in town for a conference and we decided to go all out. We ordered a couple of entrees. The seafood stew thing was awful and nothing special. Then we went with a huge order of a sushi assortment plate. The nigiri was pretty delicious with very fresh fish. Some of them I had never tried before. Then we rolled with the dessert. The wasabi tiramisu was heavenly, the wasabi kicks in at the very end of each bite. Nicely done. The chocolate mousse was delicious too. The desserts were probably the highlight of the evening. The sushi was great and fresh but not too inventive, I guess out in Philly it might be a big deal since they don't have many sushi restaurants? They also charged far too much for supermarket quality sake.
