Very rarely am I compelled to give a place 5 stars unless it really was a peasurable experience for me. this place rated a 5 star from me. dante's is truly a visual feast for the eyes when you walk in. classic cars out front, a pirate ship, alligators, a wharf. Amazing. My kids brought me and my girlfriend here tonight for my birthday dinner. had a great time. Ordered the fondue and while seemed a bit overpriced, we didn't mind at all. Funny how that happens. It was great fun cooking your own food in the oil and the sauces that come with it were very good. Dante came up to our table 3 times actually. the first and last time to check on us and ask how things were going. the second time was so funny. we were in a booth in the ship right next to the jazz group, which by the way was very good. they even played some Spyro Gyra. So he comes up, sticks his head in and says "2007, huh?" and we were like "um..." so my my girlfriend says " nope, 2006" refering to our wine. one of the waiters comes up behind Dante and whispers in his ear and then he says "Oops, I'm at the wrong table. they said 41. It's really 49. I'll be back" then turns and walks away. What a great character. So friendly and genuine. I recommend this more for the atmosphere, music and the service than really for the food, which was, don't get me wrong, really good, but honestly you will never find another place quite like dante's down the hatch. great job and thank you! we had a wonderful time. It was a memorable birthday
