I think this place is a VERY welcome addition to the neighborhood. The decor is very modern and upscale - beautiful job there. The menu is large enough to provide plenty of choice for most diners. It is a mix of Vietnamese and Chinese dishes. Although most of what's offered is standard fare for Vietnamese restaurants, Le Viet has elevated most dishes by using fresh ingredients and a very light hand in preparation. The fried rice with shrimp and BBQ pork I ordered was incredibly delicious and not the least bit greasy. Ours was a large party and we ordered two of the calamari salads served in a half pineapple - that was a big hit with the entire party. Perfect for warm weather. I thought the prices were on par with those at other Vietnamese restaurants. Most entrees were under $15. I will definitely be making this place a regular haunt.

I went here last night with clients because I had already taken them to Buddhkan and Spice Market before. I've only been here for drinks and I can only say that I was unimpressed with the food. It was good not great! I had three guys with me and they all ordered the same thing, Lobster Trio.........so annoying when three people order the same thing. I had the Spiced Filet, then ordered the seabass for the table. All three plates were just so-so, nothing that great about each of them. We also shared a plate of sushi rolls that I had the waiter put together for us. I will say the staff did a great job with the selection of the appetizers and saki. The bill came just north of $800, thank God it was a business expense. The bill included two bottles of saki at $100 each. Overall, too pricey for a meal that is *"echt". I don't think I will be going back there, but at least I can now say that I've "been there and done that". ****SIDE NOTE**** I APOLOGIZE TO ALL THE STAFF MEMBERS, INCLUDING THE HOSTESS, FOR MY CLIENTS BEHAVIOR. They had waaaaay too much saki and I should have cut them off at one bottle. I was soo embarassed!!
