by Jason H. on 0 Stars RUDE BOUNCERS CRAPPY DANCE FLOOR WEAK DRINKS Congratulations Bubble Lounge you are being awarded my first 1 star review. I would give this horrible establishment 0 stars if the rating system on Rateclub allowed me. I went to Bubble Lounge last Spring, but I didn't have a Rateclub account back then to reveal my thoughts. It was around 11PM on a Saturday night and there wasn't much of a wait at all. One bouncer checked my ID and another patted me down. The one who patted me down told me in a unfriendly tone that I had to take off my jacket before I entered. I was thinking in my head "ok". What kind of front are you really trying to pull by being so unhappy and tough? I was probably going to do that anyway because it'll probably be warmer inside. I took off my jacket and entered. This place has a coat check stand conveniently at the front at the ridiculous price of $3. As I walk past the coat check the stupid bouncer comes parading in and chased after me saying I had to check-in my jacket. WTF. I followed his instructions already. What else does this guy want? The bouncer was literally breathing down my back about this so I just said 'forget it' and paid the measly $3. This was such a sham and they were so rude about it. What a great way to start the night at Bubble Lounge. NOT. The night only gets worse. So I head downstairs to the 'dungeon' or their poor excuse of a dance floor to meet up with some friends. Walking further and further in the temperature really began to rise. I was so cramped dancing here that I could literally smell the nasty sweat of those around me. I saw they had fans on the floor, but they were turned off. What are they there for then? They might have been broken on a much needed night. I was at the point that I just wanted to leave, but my GF urged us to stay. She suggested we get a drink so I'm thinking maybe it'll calm my nerves. Mojitos are generally my drink of choice and I saw they had one mixed with Champagne. I figure this must be Bubble Lounge's specialty: sparkling wine. I take my first sip and thought "What is this? Juice?". I could barely taste any alcohol or mint flavor. All it really tasted like was sweet sparkling water. Seriously, if you expect to get a buzz off this stuff you have to be kidding me. If so, you'll probably need to spend a LOT more at this establishment. It was really one disappointment after another. Bubble Lounge has left a bad taste in my mouth and has lost my business in the future. AVOID!
