by Hai Fetner on Not a bad place- it was super crowded here though and rather hard to get to the bar. So we hit the dance floor first and had some fun dancing. The DJ was not that great so we gave up after 15 minutes. Upstairs there is a small room, that can be rented out for parties- which we were a part of. The bar was small and there was not much room but it was fun music playing there and VERY LOUD! We left after 12:30 since we are not into the "party all night" scene! Ladies got in free but the guys had to pay $20 bucks! The staff/ muscle standing around was not very friendly (to be expected at this type of place) and when we entered we were frisked down- never got that in SF.
by Pete J. on Out in Chinatown on a Saturday night, we were fresh out of Red's & looking for a spot to have one final nightcap, when we caught a few notes of "My Heart Will Go On" on the breeze... Down one flight of stairs & through the sexy red doors, we came upon an orgy of chrome, neon & red vinyl all aglow in candlelight & accentuated by the sound of shrill &/or tonedeaf Chinese people singing bad Cantopop songs. Make it a Tsingtao & don't think twice about paying the five bucks for one (five bucks?!), because it will be one less moment you have to worship this place. I fucking love Chinatown.
