by Kilo L. on Very nice/strong frozen margarita, they hook it up over there. It's a wide range of Mexican and South American (unsure) food - typical fare such as enchiladas and tacos, but also plantains, grilled steak w/rice and grilled fish plates. My favorite is the $2 tamale, it's the most flavorful I've had anywhere. Salsa is hearty and on the spicy side with plenty of cilantro. On a beautiful fall day, it's hard to beat sitting at their bar with chips/salsa and wash it all down w/a cold drink. Trendy yet casual atmosphere.
by Tobias Venkus on Dear Webster Hall, I tried to give you a couple chances, really I did, but it just didn't work out. For a club that overstuffs itself with an obnoxious Guido-esque crowd, has meathead bouncers that feel you up, lines that include a 30+ minute wait for a drink, the bathroom, coat check, etc., and overly expensive & weak well drinks, I don't understand why this place has three stars on rateclubs. It's true that they do book some good shows, but after having bad experiences at two shows I was really excited for (Justice on Halloween and MSTRKRFT on New Years Eve), I don't think I would ever go back, even for a band that I love. Bummer.
