by Imogene Sane on Fluid is one of my favorite spots in the city. All walks of life are always welcome, the drinks are strong, and the music is always good - the club is small enough to be able to control the quality of the music, and make sure it stays pretty underground. Last Wednesdays with Josh Wink are my favorite night to go - busy, with a fun, mixed crowd who want to dance. The sound system is one of the best, most crisp in the city. The club understands that if you have good music, it needs to sound right! One issue I have - everyone can see into the stalls via the mirrors. There might as well be no door at all! Other than that minor gripe, a great place to dance and drink!
by Rachel O. on Slide sucks. It's snotty. Bar isn't that well stocked. Music is so-so. Crowd is very BandT. Their velvet-rope mentality is so out of place for this place. Do heart the slide - go right after they open, have a cocktail, do the slide then go someplace better. You know, where the patron IQ average is above 110. Hey, this is SF - I think our overall average is like 120, so someone in Slide is bringing down the average. Maybe it's the bouncers.
