by Renato Heye on Okay, so I'm a little prissy. I went to Fais Do-Do for a drinking liberally event. I was afraid that it would be in a very sketchy hood. I was wrong. Oops! Everyone at this place was ridiculously nice. The owner served food, delicious Southern food, for free to help promote an event geared at raising awareness about the aftermath of Katrina. The decor is very sexy yet rustic. Definitely interesting. There seems to be a great sense of community at Fais Do-Do. All the waitstaff were genuinely kind. One gentleman saw my friend and me sharing a soda. He came over to bring us 2 separate cans [not in a weird creepy hitting on way]. This is the kind of place I want to give my money too. I'm going to check out their cool music line ups! Give me some corn bread baby!
