by Rylan V. on Temple is awesome because its a dance party, the space is huge, and the music sometimes kicks ass. However...is the crowd even from SF? It was so lame there and someone called me a -fag-...in -San Francisco-! What the -eff- was up with that? When my friends are begging me to take them out somewhere to see how the straight people perform mating rituals, we go worship dance at Temple ;)
by Song Douet on I have to be comfortably intoxicated to go to the Starlight Room. Why? 1) The drinks are exorbitantly priced. And weak. 2) If sober, I notice how many "scrunchy-wearing" tourists there are. I would rather be insouciantly faded. 3) I could picture my own mother here, on a "night out in the big city." Because this place is that breed of oxymoronic trashy-classy. Three stars for the live music and dancing amongst the stars.
