by Sab L. on One of the smaller, older, and dingier clubs in San Francisco, with a bare, industrial interior. Element used to throw parties here a few years ago; now that crowd has moved on, and DNA Lounge plays host to Bootie ( http://bootiesf.com/) once a month. If you go to DNA Lounge on that night, you'll probably find fellow rateclubsers Ed H. and RJR somewhere inside. An upstairs walkabout overlooks the first story dance floor, bar and stage; also upstairs is a smaller room with tables and a bar that serves Mexican food. Make sure to take plenty of cash with you; they don't take credit cards and I heard someone's account info got ripped off when they used the ATM by the entrance. The bathrooms on the first floor are always less crowded, for some reason.
by Suzann Serene on I think the girls that have fun here are the type that get really excited over matching their brand new Flounce by TBD top to their newly hemmed Citizens of Humanity Ingrid flare denim to their color coordinated Steve Madden pumps - the kind of girls that are stock, found a dozen for a dime in clumps at any club, sipping Long Islands and hoping to catch the eye of some guy so she won't have to pay for her next drink. In other words, desperate and generic The guys that hang out at Trinity either speak poor English as a Second Language and/or are old enough to be my dad. I had more fun dancing with a lesbian in a tuxedo in the weird techno room than I did being groped by the Microsoft employees gone wild in the main room. I've been to Trinity twice (once for a work event, once for a birthday party), and I will not return. As a final piece of insight: don't let your friends buy VIP - there's some little Asian guy who will overcharge them for this service, sit on the couches with some bimbos, send the waitress home so there's no bottle service, and kick your entire party out of Trinity as soon as someone starts having fun.
