by Willena Manetta on Call me an old man, but this place is too damn loud. $30 cover, rude people, and music so ear-drum implodingly loud that I now have a headache and my ears are ringing. Music is not special, just annoying house music played by a DJ that acts like he is God's gift to mankind (any idiot can put a disc in the CD player and crank the volume to 'neuron kill'), drinks are expectedly overpriced. Can't comment on the club goers besides the fact that some were attractive (plenty were not) and they seem to like gyrating and going deaf. Couldn't tell you what kind of people they are though, you couldn't carry on a conversation without a bullhorn and neon sign. If you want to communicate with anyone, text message them. I guess if you like dance clubs that play obscenely loud music, have little or no soul, and staffed by people that think everything the do for you is a favor that you probably don't deserve, head to Ruby Sky. For less money, you can get the same experience by repeatedly hitting yourself in the head with a tack hammer and placing small explosives in your ear drums.
