by Rob C. on 3.5 probably the easiest place to bring out of towners (near meatpacking). no line, no hassle or cover, wide open space thus not too crowded (thus good for bringing your own group of friends). outdoor area, huge is relative but for nyc, makes CA people feel at home. next door is currently "the avenue" and more the strict bouncer type of place but it keeps changing apparently. open till 4. artichoke pizza opening nearby!
by Letha Hiefnar on Slide is on my nightly list of clubs every weekend! I enjoy the crowd and their 50% ratio requirement! Sometimes it can be challenging to get-in, but once you're inside, it's as awesome! Music largely depends on who's playing that night, so make sure to do your homework so you won't end up the whole evening with a crappy dj :). Dress to impress and bring ladies with you, bouncers up front are pretty strict, but that's what makes this place so unique!
by Hattie Hitchcock on Good beer, good cocktails, great jukebox, pool, darts, and all the popcorn you can eat while in a state of poor judgement. As a dive bar, it gets the job done. Bartenders are a little weird. Especially the blonde. But overall, fun neighborhood bar to chill with co-workers and get a little sauced. :-) I've had some great times there.
