Mighty is a good place for an event. Situated in the industrial SOMA I could hear the music bumping from block away on a quiet Tuesday night. Incognito by the exterior, but not the bass. The place was spacious, but intimate. I noticed the bar (that I stood at for an hour sipping my beer and chatting) smelled very strong like metal. They had the stage set up well, with lots of chairs and you could see the presentations easily. It was a good place to host a panel of speakers. I'll have to try it out on a typical night as well.

SCORPION BOWLS. Recipe: Generic alcohol + generic punch = one sweet drink. I have had several birthdays here and it doesn't get any better. Somehow, all the pictures end up with the scorpion bowls getting all the spotlight. All those crazy long straw showing up in the frames! I recommend going a little early so you can get your own table if you have a large crowd. That's the 2nd floor. 3rd floor = sketch. If I could draw a proper graph here I would. Basically, the later it gets, the more sketch it gets. If you like sketch, go way after midnight. Things don't get crazy/busy until then. 1st floor = greasy. If you are by now in a drunken stupor from the scorpion bowls and need to soak up some alcohol before stumbling out into the night, you need to order some chow mein. Keep in mind, you don't eat here when you're sober. It's the worse ish you could put in your body. But if you're drunk, the chicken chow mein never tasted better.
