by dawn b. on Went here this past Saturday after a bad incident at WHACK ASS ROE. I threw my bf's birthday here before too and Saturday's event was still just as fun!! Chill atmosphere. Great music, the DJ was cool. You could request stuff without him getting butthurt. Funtimes indeed. If I could change anything about my 25th bday it would be that I wouldve chosen this place imediately instead of choosing Roe. Great place! Great art. $5 cover. There's a seperate room that they open up if it gets too crowded. Great place to have bdays since its more of an intimate setting and you can found all your friends at once instead of having to look for them in one of those bigger clubs/bars. Never had ventilation problems. You know how sometimes clubs gets kinda stuffy and sweaty? Haha well there was none of that here! =P
by Buck Emberson on The Starrborgs* in this restaurant are dressed in identical stripey shirts. They look a little bit like gay sailors. The food is pretty good-- I really liked the Tuna Tartare and the Pad Thai, but it's really nothing that special. As usual in Starr restaurants, the visual aspect of the dining experience has more gravitasse than the menu which is chic fusion cuisine that really has nothing to do with the diner theme. TK and I sat in these swingy chair things which were very weird--novelty value sans practicality. I was disappointed in their paltry beer selection. I understand that they're going for the whole martini thing but I was really in the mood for a beer. * See my review on Buddakan.
