I've been to Colony three times- once on a whim with a girlfriend and twice with a promoter. Never had any trouble getting in but each time left after 30 minutes. Without exaggeration the most obnoxious crowd I've come across at an LA nightclub. Who allows all these underaged sorority/fraternity children in? Please go back to your frat parties USC kiddies and save us the secondhand embarrassment of watching you act a fool being sloppy drunks. The venue itself is very nice and quite large. Music is ok. Cool decor. Interesting go-go dancers... if you can even call them that. I wouldn't set foot in here if I didn't have a table because there's not much room to just stand around. I wish I had more nice things to say. I want to like Colony but I just can't. Maybe once the hype dies down it'll become more tolerable but for now, let's just say there's no shortage of clubs in this town.

Solid space, good sound system, stiff drinks, cute bartender. I went on a night after Corporate Christmas party there so the crowd was still a bit stuffy. I enjoyed the lay out though as the place shows potential especially with the more private seating upstairs. I will be back.

Who drinks on a Tuesday? Deal seekers, hell bent on destroying their livers, that's who! 3rd Floor of course has the $18 AYCD and all the fried chicken, tonkatsu and dokk bokki (rice cake in a spicy sauce) you would care to eat. See Mom? I'm being frugal! (Please disregard the lack of vegetables in this diet, I promise to eat a salad tomorrow). Unfortunately, the food is awful. Dry chicken, soggy tonkatsu, greasy, gross, ugh. In order to make-up for the bad food, one is compelled to drink more to get your money's worth. However, there's diminishing returns with this theory.
