by Shawn C. on I tend to gravitate to Nick's whenever I'm in the neighborhood. It's a refreshing change to go to a burrito/taco place and relax in big, comfy, spacious booths with a cold beer and have the food delivered to your table, all while enjoying whatever games are on the TVs surrounding the bar. The burritos are wrapped with steamed, doughy tortillas and packed with freshness. The guacamole is excellent. They need to add pinto beans as an option, however. Since the place doubles as a nightclub, the floors tend to be a bit sticky. And cash-only sucks.
by Alana Devillez on I came here with a friend when we were desperate for late night eats and didn't want to resort to fast food or a long drive to find a decent place open late. It was Tuesday at 11pm when we showed up at Minx and the place was pretty quiet by then. We sat in the bar/lounge area and they brought out our amazing half off late night happy hour cocktails quickly. The dinner menu is unavailable after 10pm but they have a sweet lounge food menu. The Kobe burger and fries are a huge treat, more than enough for 2 people to share. The view is cool, the decor is postmodern and interesting, the wait staff is incredibly chill and laid back (although it may have been because the place was otherwise dead around midnight), and they were even filming a Food Network show there to showcase their revamped new menu! Two strong, well-made cocktails, a beer, salad, and the kobe burger and fries later, and the tab was a mere $25. Stomachs and wallets happy :)
