I can move. Even break it down a little. And there's a place for me to sit. That's what's up. Many of the bars and lounges in the Financial District - seem to have a hard time accommodating all of the above - around happy hour. Many of them are too narrow. They become too congested. And many of them just don't play good beats. Eve, while not perfect - is bigger than most places in the area, has a mellow vibe, a decent amount of comfy booth seating, and consistently seems to have upbeat DJ spinning grooves that'll make your head bounce - and your lips purse (in that get down kinda way). The decor is modern swank-ish, and I dig the 50's pin-up visuals scattered round the place, the feather adorned chandeliers, and the lovely hand-done flower script design on the wall. It's not quite as chic and visually profound as Harlot, but it's definitely sexier than alot of lounges in the area. Due to the mixed vibe - it seems to attract a mixed crowd - of people. Scruffy disheveled looking guys in jeans and baseball caps, the business casual types in sharp slacks and low heels, and even the more vamped up crowd with low cut dresses and heels that make my eyes hurt. Eve isn't necessarily a place that I'd go out of my way for, but considering that it's nearby the office, and I've had a good time here in the past - I'm definitely thankful that it's moved into the area.

Mmmmmmmmargarita madness!! Well actually I mostly had mojitos, but whatev....so many selections! The flavor list is enormous, and has some odd stuff, like walnut...walnut marg? OK...interesting... The food was good too, nachos and calamari oh my! Granted, it was just for happy hour, it was busy, but the service was awesome. They really tried to accommodate our group as we swelled in numbers, first adding tables and chairs and then ultimately moving us to a huge table. Thanks, dudes. The bathrooms are awesome, big metal iguanas everywhere! No live ones though, cuz that would just be creepy.
