by Jamaal Badeaux on Grace is a bar in my new neighborhood of GHO/SOS/Ward 30/ whatever you wanna fucking call it. 2 friends work there and they pour drinks and bake food better than anyone else in philly. The place won't be the same without Sam the cook, who just quit to be a punk rock trainhopper like he does every summer. Still, beer selection is nice, the monk's is supper satisfying in the hot sticky shithole of philly that is the summer. Yes, the ceilings are cool. Yes, they have air conditioning. But the Vegan Burger Sucks ass. Prices are inflated, selection is good, Joey is short.
by Ubiqui T. on Nasty and unrighteously overpriced. This place is tacky and has no ambiance. Awful music, mismatched decor, gross food, barely-alcoholic drinks. If you have enough money to pay for their $15+ "drinks", you might as well go somewhere that is worth it and doesn't make you want to hit the showers quickly afterwords. Never, ever again.
