I've been meaning to review Rise for so long now that it just figures it would end up being my 200th review! Well, I'm happy to bestow the honor of that special number on this place, since it is fantabulous if that's even a word. It automatically earns "amazing" status since it's the only after-hours club in Boston. But even if there were contenders, I'd still love it. I've never had anything less than a great time on either of Rise's two floors, dim and shot through with flashing lights and mirrors. This can be surreally creepy if you go on Halloween night, but fun all the same. With a lounge area on the first floor, and amazing electronic music booming upstairs, it can satisfy whether I feel like chilling or just dancing til I can no longer feel my limbs. It may sound corny, but you can just totally lose yourself in the music, whether its with the regular Rise DJs or one of their fantastic guests. There's no alcohol sold here (although plenty of water, red bull, etc.) but I've never seen that deter anyone's high spirits as they party til they stumble or skip home at sunrise. It's members-only, but it isn't too hard to find someone who can get you a guest pass if you're a non-member. If any of these reviews have even remotely piqued your interest, then stop reading and start making plans to go experience it for yourself! :)

I heard all this talk from my friends in philly about how good the pizza in philly is compared to la. Im not sure if it was better or just a little different. But for sure it was more expensive at Pietro's. They charge 2.50 for each topping, so by the time i was done building my pizza it came out to quite a little fortune. Maybe it was a busy weekend but the service was a little slow, or i was just really hungry. We ordered a small pizza and some spaghetti and it came out to a little over 40 bucks. I would probably go back again or find me a Bertucci's.
